Miroslav Manasijević (1987) is a poet and artist. He has published two poetry books: Wolves In Us (2018) and 30000 Separated Japanese And The Piercing of The Reality (2019). He lives and works in Vranje, Serbia. Karma The Sun will outlast the day, Van Gogh’s blue ear flies.
A whisper like the cut of destiny
Bleeds on the glass
Of peeled words.
You tell the reality preparing
Modigliani’s revenge in secret.
- Like a stone,
Like a leaf,
Cheating is simple.
( But, on whom do you think you cheat?)
On our fingertips,
All of us wait for the bullet
Coated with the lipstick kiss
Of karma, the unscrupulous widow.
In General
I have seen some paintings
In which
Death holds the reins
Nails scratch the glass
An angel letting balloons toward the sky
Pinocchio decaying
A crow squatting on some boy’s shoulder
The hand of art veiled in black
A skeleton swimming in the eye
Money closing mouths
I saw the painting in which your head
Was dimming above the water
While you were standing
And urinating
The blood was running through the pipe
And the urine was running through the pipe
In order to reach your imagined unattainability
