He Was Born And He Died
he was born and he
died somewhere sometime once in a place where
not many people knew that he
was or for how long he
was there a man died a
man died a person
died a human being
died he died he
seemed an ordinary man with a
recognizable face
someone who
ate slept woke wrote an
ordinary man a man he
seemed a man a
figure so human that
that it looked like the
the romanian language teacher from an
ordinary school not a
private one no
the private schools do not have
romanian language teachers with
faces so human so
he looked like the the romanian language teacher from an
ordinary school which always spoke about a man just as
ordinary as him an
ordinary man a man
from a place I do not know which place I have not
been there before and even if I
had I still would not have met him
he is just a man a
man and he was born and died
died of syphilis
then because of a blow to the head
right to the head and then because of
precocious atherosclerosis he died so
many times
he was murdered by so many
he was a
man an ordinary man
he was born and died but he still
treads through
through through
through
woods I do not know what
woods and he
speaks with trees
and it is still
said that he is
a lunatic in love a
lunatic that
that walks to fetch
half of a bread to
the grocery shop at the
end of the street
the poet
